A diverse group of artists of local artist dedicated to cultivating the visual arts in the Potomac community
PAinT is comprised of professional artists of diverse training, styles and ethnic backgrounds; the result is a rich breadth of artistic work.
What makes PAinT special is not only the caliber and quality of the individual work of the member artists but the also our passion for creating programming for the community. We bring our passions and talents together in a unique way through our arts projects.
PAinT began with local group exhibits in 2001 and in 2004 formalized as a non-profit to continue using the visual arts for benefit and cultural enrichment of the community. Our past fundraising projects have included: art calendar to benefit charities like Cure Autism Now in 2002; St Francis Art Show & Sale Fundraiser in 2003; and painting of “Cabaret Cloths” (tablecloths) for The Potomac Theatre in 2003.
Our professional art shows have included: “The Healing Power of Water” at Georgetown University Medical School; the set for the Sound of Music; Great Falls Tavern Art Show; annual three week group show for Potomac Days at local Potomac Banks and other businesses; and a Juried Art Show at Summit Hall in Gaithersburg, to name just a few of our group shows. Many of our members are featured in high profile local and national Juried art shows each year.
We have several upcoming art shows/sales and an exciting new public arts project Ponymania 2004-2005.
Please check back for more details as this is a new website for us and we are still adding content, artist galleries and program information every day.
